That's shite
I had a bike stolen it was found under a car ... its a hidious feeling and it took a long time to get to it being my bike again. If its really trashed take the insurance and move on.

insurance have asked for log book & photos so it looks like it's a write-off,there was an awful lot of Time,effort,&not least money spent on her,so do i get another one or move on altogether, but what to :x

Well if you get another of the same ; you have the benefit of knowing all the shortcuts and dodges, the easy way to do things and how they should run and also the spares/repair situation.

On the other side of the coin; you WILL compare your new acquisition with your original and usually be disappointed.
(especially as you state it was fully sorted)

Sorry been away working It was an fzr400 1wg genesis 1986 import will have to get my son to post pics i'm to old & useless(his words not mine) :?

I would imagine that an insurance company would consider that bike to be a total loss if it has sustained even minimal damage. The fact that many panels are no longer obtainable would quickly bring them to that conclusion.
However the damage itself may be minimal by other's standards,
Do you have the option of buy back?
If so; it may be prudent to view the remains before you decide.
