nc30 cutting out
out for a run on the bike today ,it was running like a dream as usual .on the way back home as i slowed down approaching a junction she cut out ,started first time, run perfect after idle speed but every time i slowed down to stop she cut out, got home messed about with idle screw with no joy but she started back firing , please can some one tell me the best place to start looking to sort it.

Check the fuel vacuum hose is connect and seated well, could be poor fuel flow at low rpm. When it starts what is the idle rpm? If it's back firing from the can, you might have an air leak, so check your exhaust abd carbs are seated right.

i will check the vac pipe tomorrow ,i had trouble with it before,do you know what the idle should be i think it was about 1500 before this happened.

1300rpm +/- 100rpm is the Haynes value, and is what mine idles at nicely. 1500rpm isn't bad though, just dial the idle screw out a touch.

Also check fuel tank breather pipe isn't kinked - you could be getting a fuel lock occuring which happened to me
