NC30 Front master cylinder

Post by lukemillar »

Hey all

I'm short 1 front master cylinder for my 2 NC30 builds and have been looking around for a spare. However, people seem to want a lot of money for a 25 year old part! (I got a quote of $160 from a breaker here!)

So I checked the Post Classics rule and master cylinders are actually open with this wording:

Front and rear master cylinders are open, but no direct pull or “radial” front master cylinders.

So I guess I have some options… but what would people recommend? If I am honest, I have never found the stock MC lacking - just looking for other options since I need to buy one anyway.

Thanks
Luke

Yep, used ones sell for criminal amounts sometimes!

I don't know that any non-radial model will be better than any other except for the different characteristics that different ratios will give.

I once bought a brand new nissin m/c (from yahoo Japan) which felt much improved, even after rebuilding the standard one.
