Junking the excess wire.

Post by keithvfr »

Im in the process of making my nc29 ready for the race track but want to ask your help before i go any further. It currently has the standard wiring loom fitted but since i dont need most of it i was wanting to remove all the spare bits to make it a nice simple loom.Looking to remove headlights,Indicators and then all the rear lights.Questions is do i need to leave the headlight relay and fuse box or can they both come out aswell?
Also as the sidestand is off can i just loop a wire into the plug to make it a complete circut?
Waiting for my manual to arrive so dont have a full wiring loom pic the now so any help would be great.

You might be better off to simply remove the existing loom and make a new one. The wiring on a race bike is pretty simple!

If you only have a couple of different colours of wire you can use cable markers to identify them by number.

You never know, someone might be willing to take the full loom off your hands for $$$ ?

Ben.

That idea had crossed my mind and since its winter and hiding in the garage gives me some peace and quiet i might just try making my own and see how i get on.

Worse case i can just put the standard one back on if it doesnt work out.

Its easy just open the loom up and use a wiring diagram to remove all of the unwanted chaff
