VFR/RVF SLIPPER CLUTCH
Hi Guys,
I have some interesting news regarding to possible development of a slipper clutch for the VFR and RVF's
What I need to know is how many of you guys would be interested in buying a slipper clutch.
There will be a minimum order required like the usual big group buy things on here.
I don't need anything yet I'm just doing a bit a market research to ensure that it will be financially viable for the company to begin producing.
Please sticky this post or pass it round as the quicker I can get a rough idea on numbers the quicker I can get back to the producers.
Thanks,
George - Team V4 Racing.

How does your slipper clutch differ from the sprag clutch already fitted to these bikes as standard, and what are the gains oover the standard unit?

i'm all for trick parts and upgrades - i just can't see the point or benefit in fitting an aftermarket slipper clutch.

The sprag clutch on the nc is nothing like a proper slipper clutch so if its a proper one the yes there will be a huge benefit.

Yes the STD clutch has some slip capabilities, however from racing I can definitely vouch for the need of a "proper" slipper clutch.
Benefits are as you would expect really; Less weight (less inertia), completely set up for the specific motor, adjustability, and then the benefit of what a slipper clutch does.
It will be made by a hugely reputable manufacturer of slipper clutches using data we are providing, estimated cost of around £500.
However nothing certain yet I am simply trying to gauge the possible demand for such a product.

Its something I enquired about last week, there's a company that has finished them + just sending for anodising, they are £600 per clutch
I will be buying one for definate however if you do do them ill grab off you instead, all helps
Company is versastep, they have been doing slippers a little while for other bikes, website not updated till after nc slipper has been anodised but should be by christmas

Surely it can't be that hard if the company above, which I imagine don't have half the resources you do, can have a crack at it?
Cheers

I wish EVR would make one. They have the best design IMO.
