Hi guys

I havent got a bike yet but my mate has a nc30 with showa remote reservoir shock and wants to lift the suspension as last person was smaller than him.... He has a C spanner but is unsure how to do this...

Is it in the Haynes manual?

Just any hints pr tips please.

I don't think you can change the ride height on a standard Showa shock. However, you can buy spacers to go under the shock's top mount, or you can modify the so-called 'dog bone' link to raise the height. Or buy an adjustable shock....

Not on a 30 you can't. - it is dfferent to the 35 on the top mount

YOu look at the 30 shock - see the ramped preload ring on it - that is your adjustment..it is probably already on the highest setting and if so, you need a new spring.

The shocks are 20+ yrs old nowadays...budget for a replacement
