Cbr6 shock

Post by benny »

Was round my friend's house the other day and her Dad offered me a CBR6 shock, can anyone help with whether this would be an improvement over my NC30 shock? What other parts do I need? Do I need to alter the shock? Here's some photos, no idea what year/model other than CBR600, was bought for a project bike that never got done.

No, that looks scabby

I have a newer CBR600RR shock going cheap - you should need a spring for it, but as you are so lightweight...you might get away with it

I'm 64kg in normal clothes, no idea what boots leathers etc add.
How cheap is cheap?
What else do I need?
I tried looking for threads but can't find much
