NC30 CBR600rr rear shock conversion info
Hi all
Has any body done this with any success, Ive been searching and i cant really find any info .
Found on another site a guide looks simple enough and hopefully gain a better shock with out having to have it re sprung or valved
Any input would be great but i shall call HM racing tomorrow and ask for some advice from there suspension guy Perry

It works but it in short the spring is too soft, 3 options.
1. Fit a heavier spring and have the shock revalved to suit
2. Fit a heavier spring and live with it as it is
3. Change the linkage for the hrc link so the shock works with the softer spring
Personally id go for the bmw shock as it fits with fewer mods, plenty of fitting info for both shocks on the site somewhere.

Thanks for the reply sounds like an expensive pain in the a&^e il look at the bmw option

Its the same story with the bmw shock, the bmw shock just fits a little easier and is of a better qualiy IMO.
The problem with fitting other shocks is the NC uses a linkage that needs a heavy spring unlike pretty much most other sportsbikes. On a budget id just get the stock shock rebuilt or try and find a 2nd hand maxton or wp.
