1/4 turn fastener tab
One of the metal tabs that takes a 1/4 turn fastener(what are those called) rusted off. Where can I get replacement tabs and screws, how can I remove the tab(drill it out), what kind of rivets are used to fix the tab to the plastic?

1/4 fastners are called dzus fasteners (pronounced "zeus") Loads of sellers on ebay - just google away!
As for rivets - Depend on what they look like, but I usually drill other head off (other side from what you have pictured) and they drop out. On my old race bike I just used bog standard ally rivets to mount them.

As above but be careful of the drill bit 'biting' and snapping the plastic, fast speed and light pressure with the drill is best here.

The original honda dzus fasteners (if that's what you're replacing) are a unique size, the kit above is a different size so unless you replace all 4 you'll have 1 odd looking fastener.

Re: 1/4 turn fastener tab
I measured the original ones and they are 6x13mm, same as the ones on ebay. Do you mean the backplate is different?Cammo wrote:The original honda dzus fasteners (if that's what you're replacing) are a unique size, the kit above is a different size so unless you replace all 4 you'll have 1 odd looking fastener.
