off there web page ....
No more hassle working on bikes with no centre stand or struggling with the awkward, tedious and risky balancing act required to use a conventional paddock stand safely on your own. The abba Superbike Stand is a total one person operation sports bike stand that fits onto the swing-arm pivot of the motorcycle. The beauty of the abba superbike stand is it can be simply fitted when your bike is leaning on its own side stand therefore eliminating the need to hold the bike upright whilst trying to fit a stand to the bike, as you would have to do with a conventional paddock stand! The bike can then be safely lifted into the upright position using the integral telescopic extension lever. Because the abba superbike stand picks up in the "centre" of the bike on the swing arm pivot it can be pivoted back and two wheels can be suspended off the ground at the same time, with the aid of your own prop/jack or by using one of our simple front end lifting products - the abba "Front lift" or the abba "Front Lift Arm" (for more details on the abba front lift click here and Front Lift Arm click here) when two wheels are lifted off the ground in this way this is totally off loading the shock/fork springs and is the perfect way to store your bike when not in use. The abba superbike stand enables far more maintenance work to be carried out on the machine than a conventional paddock stand. Working on your bike is now made even easier with our latest product the "abba Tool Tray" click here for more details.

abba Superbike Stand Advantages.......
Totally safe, 1 person operation-guaranteed
Extremely stable and secure, as the abba superbike stand locks onto a solid point, far more stable than a conventional paddock stand.
Both wheels can be safely suspended off the ground at the same time by using the abba front lift or even your own jack/prop.
The abba superbike stand can be used for full maintenance, it will allow the whole bike to be disassembled including the shock, linkage, forks, yokes, engine and even the swing arm (with an optional adapter click here for details)
No bobbins needed to be fitted, the bike stays totally standard.
The abba superbike stand fits both single sided and twin sided swing arm motorcycles, there is no need to change your stand if you change your bike.
The abba superbike stand will not scratch any part of your swing arm, unlike most conventional paddock stands.
The unique bespoke fitting kits allow this stand to be adaptable to fit over 200+ different models of motorcycle.
When fitted to your bike the abba superbike stand adds extra security against theft.
All abba products are made in the UK by skilled engineers to the highest standards, all backed up with a full guarantee.
abba SUPERBIKE STAND FRONT LIFT ARM

is designed to be used in conjunction with the abba superbike stand

PRODUCT DETAILS
The abba Front lift arm is designed to be used in conjunction with the abba superbike stand for lifting both wheels off the ground with ease. This will allow the front of the machine to be completely disassembled including the front wheel, forks, yokes and head bearings etc. This product will fit virtually all motorcycles and is especially usefull when it is not possible to lift the front end from under the engine/exhaust area. (IE: V-twin engines, bikes with fully enclosed fairings and machines with awkward shape exhaust/sumps) The lifting strap provided can be used either around the swing arm of the bike, on an existing paddock stand bobbin or using our optional bobbin adapter which is designed specifically to work with the front lift arm. These can be added to your order using the check box below for £4.95, this will be the standard 8mm thread version. (6mm & 10mm available by calling to specify).

Key features:
* Fits virtualy all motorcycles that the superbike stand accommodates.* Fitting takes just a few moments. * Will fit on any abba superbike stand, new or old. * Bike stays very secure when in position. * Supplied with a quality British made lifting strap. * Off loads both front and rear suspnesion, ideal for all maintenance and long term storage.

Wanting to use this on a single sided motorcycle (Some Triumphs, Ductai's etc)? We have available "rear hub spindles" for certain models. These spindles slide into the rear hub and protrude out to allow you to locate the lifting strap round for ease of use. (The rear wheel can still be removed) Cost £9.95 Please call for more details.

and there is a nice video on how to use it ...

the thing is you need to apply lots of weight to the back of your bike to get it to seesaw . and my rc51 is sporting a carbon tale unit.. so i will not be pushing down on that ! ...... the back wheel is free running so thats not of any help to me... i do not have rear foot pegs ... and exhaust really ... not the answer ....
now this is Misleading ...

i am going to ask abba about the problem ...

what i did to over come it was lift the front of the bike and fit a house brick under the front wheel ... then fit the abba strap to the back of the bike ... then kick the brick out ...

this is not what i was looking for in a stand ... :(

i believe i could over come this by using a ratchet strap? but if this is the case then why the actual fuck did abba not send one with this kit ? ...

Image

when fitted its good there is good stability ..

Image

you can adjust the front wheel hight .. to allow you to remove the front end ...

Image

or just set at a hight of 50/50 and use as per normal ...

Image

so after e-mailing abba they .... have agreed to this and they say it will not fail or void my warranty ..... they have refunded me £10 to purchase a ratchet strap.... thats me happy with the item now and i will and can recommend..... the abba front wheel lift...thanks for looking.......

Very nice, how did you blank off the flapper valve? I think I read a fancy grommet is available now?

How do you find the 2CT tyres in the rain? Do you feel it needs a slipper clutch?

I take it the AFR was measured on the dyno or do you have a loggable wideband fitted?

Love the R&G hangers, bit pricey at £90 though.

i got a TCC kit from the states for the flapper ... you can use a grommet tho ...

as for the tyres ....i have not been out on them yet :o i have been running around on my 30 as the sp is blocked in the garage by all the rest of my shit :(

the R&G hangers are way over priced i am on the look out for a set of harris ones then i will be getting rid of the R&G ones....

afr was set when i had the map done ... thats why i did the smog mod as it stops the air from being pumped into the exhaust valves... which would lead to a false reading when you measure exhaust gas...

so do you also have a sp ? sounds like you have a sp1 ? feel it needs a slipper clutch? not on a sp2 maybe a sp1 as i here they have some launching issues ? but no my bike is ok for the way i ride her ... altho i do like the idea of a sigma slipper clutch

Had a SP1, considering a SP2..

Wanted to love it but I couldn't get on with the front end and couldn't get the fuel delivery right even with a PC3.

These issues seem to have been resolved on the SP2.
