NC30 Rev Counter lights not working

Post by tigerclaw »

Hi Guys, editted my post, got the rev counter working (earth wire was the issue) but it has no backlight in it. Do they have backlights, how many and do I need to open it to replace them? (I see the speedometer has a redish glow going on... Not sure if that is the standard colour) - thanks

sounds like the bulbs have gone, two if i remember rightly, no need to strip the clocks down, they are push fit from the rear.

I am swopping out the bulbs, I see my bike has a mix of 1.7 w bulbs (one is fried) and 1.2 w bulbs. The 1.7 w bulbs seem to be the right thing per the parts catgalogue... Is 1.7 correct or is there any wisdom / good explanation for the 1.2 w bulbs I have in the bike?

1.7W is the correct value, haynes and OEM part list, although I just use the Honda P/N 34908-MG9-951.
