HRC parts for nc35
Hey does anyone know where i can find HRC parts such as an HRC ecu for my nc35 ?
I heard a racing ecu is quite good.. Would the bike need to be tuned if i purchased one?

They come up for sale occasionally for silly money but they don't do much, they certainly don't release a load of bhp if that's what your after. If you have a tuned motor then it may allow you to rev higher.

Re: HRC parts for nc35
There are two things here that people often confuse
the "HRC SP Unit" (removes the speed limiter)
and the HRC ignition unit.
The SP unit seems to sell for 150 quid or more which is ridiculous considering that there is nothing inside it, it just joins one wire to another, there is a picture somwhere of one cut open.
All sorts of claims have been flouted by sellers trying to make more money but they dont do anything apart from remove the speed restriction.
Then there is the actual HRC ignition unit, it wont fit a standard bikes loom for one but its designed to work with the carb setup and camshaft piston / rod changes you do when building an F3 race bike.
On a stock bike without all the other parts it wont do anything, somebody has a copy of the settings from it into a generic box on a stock bike and it was actually 1bhp or so down.
What is it your hoping to achieve? More power?
Power is hard to get for cheap but can be done if you have money to spend.
Best things to do to the bike before thinking abotu more power is full service and improve front / rear suspension. Depending on current state this can make a huge difference and make the bike much faster on a track due to ability to corner better.

Think you will find the above is relevant to NC30 but NC35 is a different story, no SP unit, and HRC CDi does fit standard loom.Neosophist wrote:There are two things here that people often confuse

This has been discussed a million billion times before, but please allow me to add a further penny to this topic:Neosophist wrote:

You're right about the HRC CDI working best with the full F3 set up, but mistaken on the fitting to the standard loom.
What a computer/dyno screen is showing me and what the bike actually feels like on the road are two very different things; I said it before about the HRC unit when compared to the standard one, that it made my RVF rev noticeably faster.
When I first swapped the CDI's (tested back to back with no other changes), the results reminded me of how my old RGV250 felt like from about the same revs (7000rpm); faster revving & faster through the gears.
In conclusion, the HRC unit on my RVF is a well worth upgrade.
Agreed on your final point, sort out the handling first; suspension should be a priority on these bikes as well as the right tyres, if theses are squared it'll spoil the handling.
I'm also in favour of down-gearing a bit; either 2 more teeth on the back sprocket or 1 less at the front.
When the mind is relaxed, the body will go faster!

Re: HRC parts for nc35
There is no f3 kit for the nc35, the hrc cdi works with the stock loom and engine.
