Replace / Refurb Rear Shocks

Post by ZeGeneral »

I had a set of second hand rear shocks from eBay which worked a charm for over two years. One of them went and blew I now need to either refurb (is this possible?) or change them. I was looking at the Hagon 33046SA shocks due to price, any advice?

Oh and I'm off to Scotland in two weeks so I need to make up my mind which ones to buy asap (I know that puts a refurb out for now)?

Hello, I'm the same, I have to renew showa rear shocks and I've been looking at some options. I'm looking at these:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/motorcyc ... 97930.html

O este? Pero tengo dudas con las medidas:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/340-mm-a ... 66455.html

They are from China and the quality is bad, but I think for the price it is worth a try.

Anyone know the exact measurements of a rear shock for a cb 400 vtec? 330mm? or 340mm?

thanks

I've just gone a put a set of Hagons in the back of mine, £127.50 brand new with warranty and they feel good so far.

I ended up buying a set of the Hagon "33046SA" shocks for £136 direct from their website. Tried them out on the 4 hour ride to and from RIAT yesterday, couldn't be better! They come with a 2 year warranty and cost £21 for installation, I would usually have done it myself but there's a part that say's they must be fitted by a professional, and although it doesn't directly say it'll void the warranty reading between the lines tells me that'll be the first line they'll come out with if there's any problems.
