Re: Which R6 reg
ColinP, what led you to the conclusion that the rect/reg has failed?

Re: Which R6 reg
Battery charging at 18v at 5500rpm and a fried battery, doing all the electrical tests the genny is fine and the rectifier rattles when shook as the internals of it have broken up.
fited a rect/reg from a yam YZF-R 125 - SH650A-12 reg/rec new battery and all good now.
Also a used 125 reg/rec is half the price of a R6/R1 reg/rec..

Any from 1999 - 2005 I think is ok.
5EB is the one I have.
I think they switched to a 6 pin or something after, no idea on if you can wire this up.

Another vote for the R125 one, just fitted one to my CBR600FY after the usual honda failure.ColinP wrote:Battery charging at 18v at 5500rpm and a fried battery, doing all the electrical tests the genny is fine and the rectifier rattles when shook as the internals of it have broken up.
