hi all, should the fuel pump on an nc29 prime itself when the ignition is turned on ?
also mine seems quite loud , is it worn out???

The loud ticking is normal, our fuel pumps have points inside which is the noise you hear.
If you DON'T hear a clicking noise... Then start to worry.

Yes there is usually a flurry of clicks when you start up... Again normal. :grin:

Cheers thats good to know,cheers. I thought it was a leaky exhaust gasket but after hours of swapping things it still madea noise. I'm deaf in one ear so pinpointing the noise was a problem! Lol
Would a new pump be any quieter?? Chinese ones are £35 delivered on fleebay. 8-)

wouldnt know if a new one would be quieter. i still have my original pump on ticking away to its self.. its the only way i KNOW its working..
if you do swap them out.. id suggest selling the original one as i am sure a few here wouldnt mind a spare.
