No idea off hand but I have an NC30 shock in the cupboard if you want some measurements. (its an 89 shock so no remove reservoir) but you can swap betwen shocks on the NC30 so i dont see why the measurements wont be similar.

May take you up on offer of measurement when I get around to removing the current knackered shock. Really can't justify 300 ish quid for hagon or maxton aftermarket more than the bike cost me

ok well i just measure my 1989 k model shock (the one withouth the rear resvoir) they are interchangeable so it sohuldt matter which one you get but the later model is better shock.
it meaures 305mm from centre eye to centre eye. thats off the bike with teh preload setting at 1 (lowest).

I guess its much too long...chownsy wrote: have the measurements for my NC24 shock.
Before i go saving for the Hagon shock instead, does anyone know anywhere i can compare dimensions of shocks??
the measurements are as follows:
Top mount width 26.5mm
Top mount inner bush width 27.5mm
bottom mount width (inside edge) 30mm
Shock length from middle of top hole to middle bottom hole : 280mm
Top hole inner diameter: 11mm
Bottom hole inner diameter: 11mm
Spring length on shock: 153mm
Shock travel: 50mm
Hope these measurements help.

What happened with this? If the NC30 shock is 25mm longer then it's not going to work is it? There is no way of lengthening the forks on the NC24 to compensate is there?

no it wont fit its way too longHomeBrew wrote:What happened with this? If the NC30 shock is 25mm longer then it's not going to work is it? There is no way of lengthening the forks on the NC24 to compensate is there?
just buy a decent shock made for the nc24 if you want a good shock, nitron or hagon will make shocks for it.
by the time you mod / revalve and repspring somethign that fits you are a lot of the way there to what a proper shock woudl cost.
another reason why the nc24 isnt so popular, not a great deal of parts to fit it, especially cheaply.
unless your on a track or your existing shock is ruined then might just be easier to live wiht it, its fairly well matched to the rest of the bike
