Nc35 de-restriction issue
Hi all,
I have had a go at derestricting the bike today, got all of the speedo apart to find that the speedo mechanism doesn't have the tab inside? Looks like it has had some sort of replacement from a different set of clocks. It has got a little box attached to it with a brown and an orange wire plugged into it? The bike revs fine and has recently been rejetted so I'm unsure as to what it could be?
Here's the box:

Thanks,
Luke

It's still restricted though, that's what's confusing me.

Re: Nc35 de-restriction issue

Re: Nc35 de-restriction issue
It will rev over 5.5k regardless, the restriction is on the top speed???

Re: Nc35 de-restriction issue
Easiest way to derestrict the nc35 is to run a wire into the orange/blue cdi wire and the other end to 12v +ve. Job done.

That looks like the right box.LTP22 wrote:It's still restricted though, that's what's confusing me.
What do you mean by it is still restricted? How fast is it actually going? What do you think it will do derestritced
Most bikes will be good for around 120 - 130mph on a good day unrestricted and 112mph without.
But if your over about 10 stone then dont expect to be close to 130mph unless your bike is super strong and your lying on the tank.
Also since its in the UK there is a possibility its been limited to 33bhp.
Failling that and a strange absense of power then airbox / carb setup soudns likely.
