NC30 with Hydraulic clutch.

I saw an NC30 today with a hydraulic clutch (i'm guessing from the NC21) but gave up waiting for the owner to return to ask him about it.

I was just wondering why somone would do that, and if it's any better than the cable operated system? I'm always figured honda dropped the hydraulic clutch after the NC21 as it wasn't needed on the 400's?

I've got a complete NC21 clutch system in a box of spares I brought recently that I could put to use!

The hydraulic clutch is 'better' in that it needs no adjustment or maintenance.

At the same time it's heavier, more complex (ie costs more to make) and more potential for failure in comparison to a cable.

Nice, just a shame that NC21s don't exist in Aus. I assume it's a direct bolt on if you've got all the parts?

Looks identical to the VFR750 one.

I don't seem to have a better pic but by you can just see it here.

I'll check part numbers when I get home see if it is the same.

To be honest there are not that many in the UK either, (if anyone knows of a 400Z Naked NC21) let me know, I want its twin lights and bellypan :D oh and the 400K for its high-rise bars!

NC21 parts turn up on ebay quite a bit..

It's almost a bolt-on, you'd just need to trim the sprocket cover down a bit I think.

22860-ML7-000/22860-ML7-010 Cylinder Assy, Clutch Slave

Used in the following bikes

Thinking about it, I wonder what they changed, mine has to be the 22860-ML7-000 '88 "FJ" but I have an '89 "FK" which would be the 22860-ML7-010. I wonder if this may be contributing to my clutch slip when cold.

VTR1000 is 22860-MT7-000 Originally designed for the NR750!!!!
