Dented tank

Anyway of removing dents from the tank? I'm sure it will of been covered before but search doesn't show much. I have 4 down the right hand side.

it can be done i have done much worse but it invoves cutting the bottom out so you can work it from inside.

So cut the bottom and weld it back on? IF the dents were pushed out would the paint likely crack and need redoing?

Im sure a dent repair specialist could remove them without cutting the tank open.

the problem is you cant use anything through the filler neck because there isnt enough room,i have seen pins spot welded on then a slide hammer used by a specialist...but you need to hammer and dolly to finish it off,either way it would need painting.

Definatley look into paintless dent removal before you look at cutting it open you will be supprised what can be done if you talk to the right outfit.

Hi mate not in your area i am afraid ...........google paintless dent removal and ring a few up email them photos etc, i had a bad dent taken out a bonnet of a car and you could not notice they are superb, however it all hinges on if they can get inside to work the dent out.

Might work out cheaper to get a second hand tank and have it painted?
