Does this exhaust look in a usable condition

Ive been offered a standard exhaust. It all looks very good with hardly any rust. Im very new to the bike and the NC30 where as im sure there are people on here that know every single bolt on the bike.


There is one part on the exhaust that looks almost unusable... But might be somthing you can still sorce brand new. Could somone that knows there NC30s look at this picture and tell me if i will be able to use it or buy the parts in the pics from honda?

How much is it being sold for?

Is the endcan still attached? I.e not a cut system.

Those collars will need replacing.

The endcan isn't attached. Its all in bits for postage. The endcan isn't stock and it is a cut system. Appantly so this endcan can be fitted. It is the hole system that is for sale though and he wants £120 for it

Ah ok so thoughs things are collars. Are they avabible new? Do they need welding in or do they just push in to provide a seal. The rest of the system looks very clean apart from thoughs collars

Exhaust gaskets, Honda OE sleave type ? Are them the boys?

Tell him to do one.

A standard system with endcan attached and good collars would go for that.

If I were buying a cut system with a non stock can and knackered collars I'd be paying £80 tops.

But im desperate lol.

I want to get this thing on the road and my current exhaust has 3 holes in it. Thats including postage so i guess its around £100.

Whats the disadvantage of a cut system? Can new collars been sourced and if so where from? Do i need to weld these on? Im handly with a mig welded but not tig.


Sorry if im asking basic questions. Ive been researching hard but with so many things to sort out on this bike my brains overloaded and having to find out and store loads of different info

The system should have the endcan as part of the rear pipes (as it came out the factory).

But lots of endcans got cut off in favor of much less restrictive ones, so the un-cut systems fetch more money due to people building original spec bikes wanting them.

A member on here rcv4 can weld you on new stainless collars for not a lot of money as long as you cover the postage both ways. He did the ones on my standard system, top notch work.

Stick an ad in the wanted section for a system and can, you'll probably/should get a much more usable (may need the collars doing, it's a common problem) one for less than £120.

I think a lot of people have the rear section in their loft as aftermarket half systems are very popular.

The problem is finding a full system, i.e rear section, front downpipes and rear manifold all from the same person.

Give the wanted section a try, but if it's taking too long or you really don't want to wait, just try and knock the guy down on price. The money you knock off his price will probably pay for new collars to be welded on

With our short summer I might be paying a little more to get her on the road asap. Its the only thing stopping it go though the MOT.


Ideally id like to get some collars in and do it myself. My welder is my favorite bodging tool lol. If not ill send it off to RCV4.
