NC30 Rear Wheel Split Pin

Post by Worther »

Hi Folks,
I've had a search for this question, bit can't find the answer...how do I get replacement 'Split Pin' for the rear wheel nut? On my bike it had been on for a while and one 'leg' broke off upon re-assembly.
Is this a Honda only item?
I've looked on Rick Oliver's website (haven't phoned though) and couldn't see it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ebay. I believe its a 2.5mm x40 pin but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to confirm soon.
Any decent bike workshop should be also to sell you one.
It don't matter if i'm fixin' it or ridin' it.

Thanks Jetblack...I wondered if it was a 'special' part or something, from what you've said it sounds Lille it might be a fairly standard part so I'll get looking around..I just didn't want to risk riding without one (or damaged one).

Thanks,

Further to Jetblacks comments I've done some searching on 'Bay and 'tinternet and it seems 2.5mm is the correct diameter, I'll have a quick look in Halfords tomorrow see what they have, thanks again!

Thanks but I've found a pack in local Halfords that should work.
Thanks again!

You can buy the Honda part if you like.

I use an aftermarket R clip in stainless steel

Just search R clip on ebay and you will get lots of ones come up

I take it the R clip has to be 2.5mm, how long?
