Fuel Pipes and clips !!!

Post by mollers »

Hi to alllll ;)

My NC30 fuel pipes are looking a bit sad. I have been told fuel pipe is sold per inside dia ??? Been looking at the parts lists on CMS but seem to be getting a bit lost  . The main overflow pipe and pipes from the fuel cock have no tech data with the part no's. Can anybody advise me on sizes and where to get new pipe and clips

Cheers

Take your old ones to your local autostore, they should have everything you need.

Fuel hose is pretty much universal and sold by the metre :peace:

You need 7mm internal dia, nitrile is the best stuff for fuel but after a while the hoses shrink and become hard, i use goodyear hose on mine it looks wank compared to the fancy ariete stuff but still it does its job

I thought the NC30 was 8mm ID?

The last lot of fuel hose I brought wasn't Honda stuff (which was cheaper actually) but it says 8mm ID on the packet, was 16 quid a meter but its decent stuff.

Most auto-places will sell fuel hose, even ebay and halfords.

As long as the hose you buy is proper fuel grade hose and the right size anything should be ok.

Ahh i missed the .5 the ariete and goodyear hose i have is 7.5mm int dia, it says so on the ariete and measures that with my calipers, nice snug fit on the fuel tap etc.

i bought some braided fuel hose from halfords, 7.5mm ID and it was a very tight fit and quite hard to push in, i think 8mm will be perfect, but 7.5mm still does the job fine.

I don't bother working out the specifics, I just order it from Rick Oliver. ;)
