NC23 Downpipes and forks for NC29?
Are the Downpipes and forks identical (or near as) to the NC29 and if not what changes if any will there be?

You can run the nc23 down pipes on the 29,you need to cut off the mount that connects to the frame and reposition it..you will then need a new link pip made from the collector to your muffler.
From memory,The 23 forks will fit,they are slightly longer,and so will sit thru the triple clamp abit...Graeme France runs the 23 forks on his nc29 racebikes.

So would I be right in thinking with the 23 forks and a CBR600 f3 rear shock the ride height will be higher all round? Improving handling??? But needing a longer kick stand?

You only need to worry about the ride height in the rear...which will be higher with the 600 shock and a stand mod will proberly be needed,
My bikes are race bikes only so stands have never been an issue.
As for the front,measure the difference in the overall length,and make sure the 23 forks sit thru enough to give you stock nc29 height for the front.
If its all set up right,it will handle like a dream

Could I just ask why you want to fit 23 forks on a 29? The 29 forks are far superior for even hard road use if they are serviced properly.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

because iv found a cheap pair of recently serviced forks for an NC23 and i plan on popping those on instead :D

Serviced crap forks might be better than decent forks in need of a service..but as it costs bugger all really to service some forks yourself...then I think you might be taking an easy out and end up with a poorer bike in the long run.

Looks can be deceiving,the 23 forks look old school on the outside,
but internally they are far superior in terms of stock valving....
I raced mine for years with nothing more than race tech springs,and fresh oil...
Results :1st in period 6 and f400 championship.
The cbrs are 2 low in the rear mainly,
My set up lifted the rear about 25ish mm,and I ended up pulling the front down about 6mm,but that's personal pref,and with slicks.
Ride it with the rear jacked up and the front stock first,if the turn in is 2 quick,or the front feels unstable mid corner,...the angle is to steep,
then lift the front up alittle.
Hope that helps
