Bike not starting

Hey guys,

I just picked up a VFR400R track bike.

It is quite poor cosmetically but when it was running when i first got it. It idled well but then i took it out for a ride and it eventually died and wouldn't start again.

What are the most common causes of it not starting?

Loads. You're going to have to be a little more specific on how it died, and what it is/isn't doing when you try and start it. Could be anything from a lack of fuel, dodgy ignition circuit, blown fuse.... all sorts. However, if something's gone wrong, someone here will have had it happen, so an answer should be forthcoming! :-)

If it was running well but died when you was out first point would be check fuel but as speedy said, could be so many things...
