DIY: CBR400 NC23 Fuel Cutoff Relay Repair With Schematic

Post by gogamoto »

Hello Everyone! I am new to this forum,i have very useful information about fuel cutoff relay.

I have 1986 Honda CBR400R Aero and the fuel cutoff relay was broken, when i found the new one on the internet its price is minimum 50$.i was searching on the net the schematic for this relay, but i could not find anything about it.it is very simple to repair it.i have removed this relay from my bike and accurately peck the Scheme out from compound,it is very simple scheme, then i have tested by tester what was broken (in my case it was Thyristor and diode)and have replaced by new one,(this parts that are on the scheme you can buy everywhere and it is very very cheap)then i put this scheme back to its box splash it by silicone and connect it back to bike. After that it works brilliant. All this procedures was only about 3 US Dollars. :)
I think It will be useful for someone. Here is Screen Shots and Schematic(this schematic diagram i made by myself and its 100% correct and working) Diagram for this Fuel Cutoff Relay:

Hi gogamoto. Good one, Im sure someone with the technical ability will be able to follow your lead in this, especially as these bikes get older and parts more scarce.
