speedo clock light

quick question how many bulbs does a nc29 behind the speedo clock face?? reason i ask is at night i cant see the speedo once the needle goes above 50 mph ( on the overlay ) , i have noticed that the rev counter is light all round so should the speedo as well ??

Not much help but mine seems the same and while I had the bulbs tested a couple of weeks ago I checked for another but nope only one small wedge type for the speedo could be found and its of the small variety. While the tacho/temp is the bigger wedge bulb. The idiot lights are also small wedge bulbs. I have put very slightly higher wattage bulbs in the clocks. Helps a tad but some say it discolours the plastic face of the clocks.

I swapped my clock lights for blue 12v T5 Leds. There is a thread i posted a while ago about the sidelights as i used the same white T5's for them.

From the top of my head i think there are 2 in each clock and one in the temp gauge. It may be 3 in the speedo though, i can't remember without looking!

Dont know if the nc23 clocks are different but my clocks definitly only have one small bulb in the speedo and one bigger t5 type between the tacho and temp gauge. Anyone with an early nc29 can confirm as mines the later model so could be different.
