Pleasure to be of help=one good turn; blah,blah,blah.
These 400,s share loads with the larger models and same part is cheaper for the 1000 than the 400,
600 bits they give away free at the paper shop.
Just need to know what fits what and your away;
That 600 alt cover I got from you= a perfect example.
N.B 400 & 600 tank cap filler rings do not interchange !!!!!! 600 is 5mm too deep for cap closure.
Blue/gold speedo converters identical gearing !!!!!!!! (wasted 2 hrs in product trials after listening to others on that one!!!!!!!).
They both fit;
1WG Genesis
3EN1
SP2TK
Dont know on 3EN1
Blue will not fit 6003HE with the ugly binnacle (one piece plastic.)
Any who disagree with this =put your money up !!!!!!!
Oh,and twin lines race style braided fit all of the above but you need to juggle, and on 1WG Genesis use a R series master.

Isn't a speedo cable male > male ???

If it is and it screws onto the threaded bit of the converter, then doesn't it turn the converter around if you connect a top one to the bottom ? maybe that would change it from a 1 > 1.6 converter to a 1.6 > 1 ???

What was meant was that either colour unit is the same ratio and will work as designed when connected to its intended counterpart !!!!
Either blue or gold; which are now harder to source can be fitted=there are no obstructions preventing the blue unit to be fitted to the instrument binnacle as I believe you had suggested or had encountered in previous posts !!

Certainly the ratio would be reversed if the unit was also reversed and fitted in the opposite position;this was not implied !!!!!!
Infact I had not even considered it until now.!
I now ponder; if this is what had another member stating that the units had different ratios in a post I made regarding the availability of gold units and you also replied in .
It may very well be, he had fitted a Gold unit in the reversed position at the instrument end.!!!

This is the very reason why questioning other members views or statements is not an inflammatory action but a means by which very valuable information may be gleaned from such debates.
In this case many thanks are due to Boris for bringing this to attention;
I for one remove the bling anodising from the units: and if at a later date ;stripped bike down and left parts for periods in boxes and then re-fitted speedo converter incorrectly or on a different bike, due to lack of colour datum then immediately speedo head becomes suspect not the fitment error .
Boris you might have saved a days work in the future; my humble thanks Bill.
1st job Saturday= stamp converters B or G.

I got a gold one for project bike with no trobble. I also fitted a blue one to the speedo and couldnd get the cable onto it. I think that was the 3tj, I used a m-max on my 3en2 but the speedo never really worked on it

I have a m-max box also Boris;though never fitted=went down the blue/gold route.
Apparantly they not only circumnavigate the top speed restriction issue but also act as delimiter allowing an extra 1,200 rpm.
Any race men out there with experience of this !!
Or is it "Yes,but source another engine now" ??

I can't see how it would be a delimiter, all I can see it doing is blocking the signal at 180kmh. It could be some spin though, if you butcher the speedo or wiring the cdi restricts the bike to 12500 rpm in all gears so fitting this might be seen as raising the red line.
