Rvf upper on a VFR?
I recently ordered a carbon rvf seat unit and lowers as I know theyre a relatively easy fit. However I held back on ordering the upper as I wasn't too sure how easy the upper was to fit?
Has anyone done this and was it easy/hard, what's involved?
Cheers
Luke

I think you'll find it rather tricky as the instrument bracket that the top fairing bolts to is different, so there's a good chance it may not line up.
Out of curiosity, what is the quality of the parts and their fit like? I'm very seriously considering going carbon, however I'm a little worried on spending so much money and finding that the panels have ropey mounting points and don't line up very well. I'll make the assumption that you've got the Tyga bits. My biggest concern would the the quality of the mounting lugs that hold the inside of the lower fairing against the frame mounts not being too good.

I had in my hands today some of TYGA's carbon panels today and the quality is top notch, they seem much better made than the fiberglass they do. Not that there bad but for the money they should be perfect.
As for fitting a RVF upper on a VFR it can be done, your need the following RVF parts,
Headlight
Screen brace
Front stay, which will need modding to fit

Cheers for the info, with regards to the lights do they just plug straight in like the old ones or is there a rewire at sorts involved?
Ill get some close up pics up on my build thread once they arrive.
Cheers again

Re: Rvf upper on a VFR?
Same connections so they just plug straight in. Light attach to the nose cone on a RVF rather than the front stay on the VFR hence why you need them. To be honest i think id keep the VFR front stay, chop the headlight mounts off and make a simple bracket for the front nose cone mount to take up the difference in nose cones.
If you do chop the headlight mounts off can i have them please :) im fitting a VFR nose to a RVF so need the left headlight mount for a VFR headlight.

If that's the way i go you're welcome it it mate, quality info there fella really appreciate it
Was thinking single headlight too, done with one of the posh endurance covers and possibly a HID upgrade to the other light to make up for the loss of beam.
Was going to keep eye out for a vrr silhouette upper but not sure if it'll look a bit daft have carbon and half fibreglass!
