Jack up kits for nc23/29

Post by petrolhead19 »

As title says, does anyone know of a jack up kit for the 23/29?

Being 6 foot 3 im wanting to get the back end a bit higher, if there is a jack up kit would be brilliant or is the easiest way going to be a cbr600 shock?

Cheers

You could try Hyperpro. I did the brochure layouts for Performance Parts and the Hyperpro fitment list was vast with loads of random models. I think the jack up kits were about £30 off the top of my head. Give them a ring and see what they can get.

If you can put a pic of the part up for me to see we could make something that'd work.

This is a NC23 linkage:

with the hole filled with weld...
The other part of the linkage is cast aluminum with needle roller bearings, and un-mod-able

That all depends on how much he wants to raise the rear. You can raise up to around 2" on the OE shock by changing the bones.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Thanks for the pic.

Are they bearings in that linkage, or is it a rubber mounted bush? I can't tell, sorry.

I'm pretty sure we could manufacture something that would include a range of adjustability in it. Has anyone got a spare they could, well, spare for me to nosey at?

Yes Kayla, it's a rubber bush. I could send you one, just say the word!
