Identifiying an original screen?
Just bought what was listed as an original screen for the NC30 on ebay, however im not convinced it is could anybody post some detailed photo's so i can compare them to mine. I will get some photo's of mine up tomorow the main thing making me doubt it's OEM is the lack of a lip at the top of the screen, are there any other things that would confirm its original?
Thanks,
Kieran.
Thanks,
Kieran.

The stickers on either side, it should have a light yellow orange tint from oxisization of the bromine,VFRkieran wrote:Just bought what was listed as an original screen for the NC30 on ebay, however im not convinced it is could anybody post some detailed photo's so i can compare them to mine. Re: Identifiying an original screen?
Thanks Rick, confirmed my suspicions then no stickers but i suppose they could have easily got lost. I am working tonight so i cant take any pictures untill tomorow, but seeing as youve confirmed it should have a lip then im pretty sure its not genuine just a sharp edge thats been cut like my other aftermarket screen. Will get pics up tomorow afternoon anyway.

Re: Identifiying an original screen?
I've also found that OE screens tend to be slightly thicker than aftermarket ones.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Didnt get a chance to take any photo's today, however i messaged the seller about it and he has agreed to a refund so im happy enough. @ thunderace this screen was alot thicker than any other aftermarket one ive seen id like to know the make so i can get a double bubble one from them.

I would take a look at MRA screens. Not budget but seems to be good quality.

Yea finished last sunday maybe?? Won it for 26 quid i think, knew it was probably too good to be true but it was worth the risk at that price!vic-vtrvfr wrote:Was that the one that finished about a week ago?
