Who would be interested in these NC23 Products.......
Hi all,
A mate of mine has just started work producing undertrays, rear light conversions and single seat covers for his ZX7r.
He's looking at expanding his product lines though into other bikes but needs to find a market first.
As Ive currently got a NC23 in numerous bits ive offered the fairing to him as a donor so he can look at what to make.
Ive suggested the following:
Undertray
Single Seat cover which clips over the exsisting pillion seat giving the impression of a racing seat unit
Headlamp covers (for trackdays etc) which he thinks he could do for £5.
New design tail light section with more modern LED rear lights.
The idea of the project is to make affordable parts for bikes which dont currently have much of a market, Im talking £20 for an undertray or £15 for the pillion seat unit. All made from good quality fibreglass and gel coated to a high gloss ready to paint finish.
I like the classic looks of the NC23 but since ive been working on mine I have fancied bringing abit more up to date. and for a cheap price that makes it even more appealing.
Who would be interested in these parts? also if you have any other suggestion please voice them because its an open book at the moment.
cheers
Loz

If by "single seat cover" you mean "Rear seat Cowl" i'd be interested..not really interested in anything that fits over the top of the rear seat..i'd want a proper rear seat cowl that replaces the whole rear seat and can use the original bootlocking system, which wouldnt be too hard to do as the rear pillion seat only has 2 metal hooks that protrude from under the rear seat to lock it onto the rear fairing. I'd also want to see pics and a price before commiting to buy obviously. Im sure if he did a good job of making these that it would be popular as nobody i know of makes a rear seat cowl for the NC23 Tri-Arm anymore.LozVTR wrote: Single Seat cover which clips over the exsisting pillion seat giving the impression of a racing seat unit
Something like this to fit the standard NC23 tail.

One i found for the NC29 fitted to standard tail.

Same as Aido,
Something that fits over the rear seat would probably look untidy. something replacing the rear seat would be a much better idea.
Undertray definately. Or full length hugger?

thats the sort of thing i meant Aido,
Il feed everyones input back to him and we can make some prototypes. then people can look and see what they like etc etc.
match- when you say full length hugger do you mean the current style but bigger? or something new, if you can find some pics to give me an idea that would be great.

Hi Loz,
this was the sort of thing i had in mind, maybe not so much of the chainguard though.

So basically, a bigger version of what is already there, covering more of the back wheel.
Cheers

Longer hugger and chain gaurd as a one piece item would be cool, much like the above pic from Matchlessman.

A modern rear plastics setup to bolt straight onto the standard subframe would be cool :D :D
