NC30 Paint codes and where to get decals?

Hi i read a thread on here about all the types (paint schemes), i have a 1989 nc30 with a stickerwith the information below

VFR400R III K
Colour NH-259M
Code NH259H

which I have been told is a type 2 (black, silver and red)
I went onto rspaints.com i think it was on their search i went 'Honda' then 'VFR400F(NC30)(import)' then to '1989'
does anyone now if thats right because the sticker said VFR400R not F. its also lists the paints as SEED Silver(bike colour) and Black (bike colour).

Has anyone tried paint from 'RSPAINTS' are they good and like orginal?

my other question is where does someone get the orginal decal for the type 2 scheme?

RSpaints are pretty good although your best off calling them to make sure you get the right paint. Failing that your best option would be to find your local paint supplier and go deal with them face to face, it'll be a lot cheaper too. My local supplier is nearly half the price of RSpaints.

well i work for a BMW bodyshop so getting the paint isnt a problem its finding the codes for the paints i need

Your better off matching the paint yourself then surely??? Most of the paint codes used never got re formulated when the world moved on to 2 pac so most paint suppliers just give you a odd look when you ask for something from a bike built in 1989. The only NC colour ive brought of the shelf so to speak is the white as its used throughout the honda range, anything else i just get matched to a existing panel.

i dont have any panel to work from i know the red is a sticker but cannot get the colours to get a match

Im doing some type 2 panels soon but to match chinese panels so unsure how close it will be to OE colours but your welcome to whats left of the paint to get a match if you want.

that would be amazing or if you tell me the paint codes and how did u decide where the silver, black and red were to go.

If by any chance the codes are available i'll just send you the codes but chances are they wont be and i'll just get them matched to a existing panel, im only doing the black and red tho.

well my panels are just white how do I know where the silver stops and the black starts, same with the red

ah right, i just go by pictures if i dont have a panel there to go from.
