Hi from South Africa GK76 problems
Hi
Im from South Africa and recently baught a 1999 GSX-R 400 GK76. My dad and i love playing with the bike because his new GTR 1400 has no problems so its no fun... But recently I've had to leave it at home and come back to university. My dad wanted to play with the carbs as it isnt 100%. We've done all the o-rings, the balancing, cleaning and checked it through (what we recon is) quite thoroughly, but on idle it doesnt run on all four cylinders. When we inject feul into the carb that isnt getting feul, the bike runs normal for a little while then only on 3 again when we connect it to the normal feul scource.
Any ideas on what we could be missing?
Thanks
Johan

Re: Hi from South Africa GK76 problems
Hi johan i would first put a bit of rag under the float bowl of the cylinder that dose not run and undo the drain screw this would tell u if there is fuel getting through if no fuel runs out i would then check the float valve on that carb they do sometimes stick so not allowing fuel into the carb if fuel dose run out i would then check the pilot jet and carb passageways on that carb again hope this helps rick
