My Type 5 NC30

Post by Drunkn Munky »

Brought this a few months back and have been slowly working on it, its was pretty tidy to start with in all honesty and flew straight though the MOT but as with all NC's i cant resist pulling them apart

What she looked like when i got her, pretty stock and not messed with that much.

Its since had a full service and the following fitted,

RVF front end with rick O kit, puely because it was cheap, well cheaper than having the existing setup sorted
Clear screen
Set of geoff's ally rads
Coerce Rearsets
Ohlins shock
Hiperform full system

The hiperform system is lush and although i think it needs a bit of tweeking here and there it fits real well with no clearence issues. The RVF front end gives shocking steering lock and after having to do a 10 point turn in front of a crowd of onlookers at the recent mayday run i think that maybe coming off.

Ive not decided on what colour to do the front mudguard yet, red or black????? i'll do that when i paint the spare set of fairings i have to go on it, silhouette seat unit and Rick O endurance fairings.

Best nc scheme in my opinion , looks really nice with some quality mods .

I know what you mean about the poor steering lock the oki is terrible but they look so much better than stock .

Yup, RVF yokes on a VFR has terrible clearance. What I contemplated was chopping off the yoke lock stops and drilling the yoke with a nut and bolt to act as the lock-stop but moved further forward than standard.

Cheers, the endurance bodywork I have for it will also be painted in type 5 colours to keep it inline with OEM look.
