Fitting CBR 600rr caslipers and master cylinder, advice???
Hi guys
bought a cbr 600rr set up off here and am fitting it at the weekend, one question is I have Pazzo levers,
A) will the Pazzo lever fit into the CBR brake lever housing?
B) can I disconnect the master cylinder from CBR reconnect to my original RVF one so keep RVF brake housing but swop mater cylinder, hoses and calipers???
Thanks

The levers will fit anyways...I reckon!
So, do A and not B
The master cylinder is the housing you are talking about...

as cmsmj1 said the mastercylinder isthe leaver housing.
so in short - if the leaver dont fit, buy a different lever.
if you dont want to buy a different lever you will just have to run the rvf mastercylinder

Ok cheers guys, probably better off running a different lever and sticking with the CBR master cylinder as surely that will make a difference? Or is it mainly the calipers that make the difference.
Would like to keep the Pazzos but the most important part is to maximise braking.

it will fit fine and the master cylinder is a big part of getting it to work properly

So many say, but nearly 2 years on, mine still are shit hot on the standard NC30 m/c, even kev at projex noted how sharp they are.CMSMJ1 wrote:it will fit fine and the master cylinder is a big part of getting it to work properly

Hi Porndog
so are you running standard rvf m/c with CBR 600rr calipers???? Would prefer to leave master cylinder and just change hoses and calipers.........

Re: Fitting CBR 600rr caslipers and master cylinder, advice?
RVF master cylinder is 14mm. RR master is 11/16" which is 17.5mm. That 3.5mm is a MASSIVE amount of area larger in this comparison.
So running RR calipers with the 14mm master is going to leave very long lever travel, I imagine. Very powerful, but long travel and probably squishy.
Stick with the original master or a 5/8" one if you find the lever too short travel or too on/off and want more gradation.

I can brake with one finger and on full squeeze theres about 1.5inch from the throttle.
Try it out, if its ok then shoot if not up grade
