I'm confused? NC35 use USD forks, while NC30 runs RWU! I highly doubt the parts I interchangeable. K type is also the early damping model fork not the later cartridge ones

they fit in different ways though don't they? USD forks have the bottoms screwed onto the stanchions..

K type and K reg are not the same...
1989 bikes are K bikes..the 1990 are L and so on..

Nc30 fork stanchions are 41mm the nc35 are 55mm fork uppers i believe so quite a difference.

Mate owning these bikes you just need to forget what numberplate it says and what it says on the v5 nine times out of ten there will be errors in the year and description.
Just write down the frame number on the headstock and the engine number and then google NC30 model info. All the details will be there for you.

Re: VFR400 K type forks stanchions into RVF400?
JKL etc are Honda designations for each year, NOTHING to do with UK licence plates.
NC24:
RH = 1987
RJ = 1988
NC30
K model = 1989
L model = 1990 / 1991
N model = 1992.
