Disaster ..... How easy is it to break the carbs apart?

well after a successful morning tearing my bike apart to check the valve clearances i have had a terrible disaster with my carbs....
I tripped over my own shoe lace and dropped them ( major face palm moment ) resulting in a broken brown plastic bit where the fuel pipe goes in.
Now im hoping luck is on my side and these brown bit of plastic are the same on the NC35 as on the NC30 as I have the brown plastic bit from a scrap set of NC30 carbs i had to buy because of a slightly more sinister carb tragedy 10 years ago ( NC30 carbs were refusing to seat and a hammer may of been involved ) but I cant remember much about breaking the carbs apart and I certainly don't want to break any further bits. Is it an easy job to do? If not is there a manual with this information in?

I broke mine quite expensive to buy from honda. Put a wanted up someone will have a spare,

Fixed it! A bit of wobbling and blind faith and I fitted the NC30 ceramic ( i stand corrected ) bit that I had lovingly modified with a file. Now fingers crossed it doesn't leak

I snapped the same T-pipe on my NC35 carbs being a little over zealous with an impact driver. I suppose it's one way of learning how not to do it. I've glued my one and am likewise praying it's not gonna leak.

It is a bit of a pain to seperate the carbs as I now have to balance them all up which is a fiddly job. Hopefully they won't be too bad as I have set them by eye as best as I could so it shouldn't take to much adjusting once I get the carbtune out. The way I look at it is it's all experience I'm now not afraid to tear them apart as I know I can get them back together again! Lol
