Blyton Park 11th May £69

Nothing more to say really, if it's been organised it'll be here.

Blyton Park 11th May £69

Post by silver1956 »

Just booked a day at Blyton Park which is near Gainsborough Lincolnshire. For those that havent heard of it its a car testing track that has allowed some bike days for the last couple of years. I did one last year there and this year the
organiser is Javelin trackdays. Their site redirects you to the "bikedays.co" site for the booking.
The day cost £69 .
The track is about 1.5 miles and is a virtually new tarmac surface on an old airfield site, so there is no camber on the bends. Its ideal for 400's . There is good runoff on to old concrete and pretty safe, facilities are good, but there wasnt any food onsite the day i went.
Hope to see a few of you there. I booked inters.

Looks good, might be the perfect starter trackday for me this year to see how well the bike runs as it is so cheap and not too far away.

Damn, that is narrow!

Why would they not just lay double that width if they were resurfacing it all...

If you dont try it you'll never know. I enjoyed it last time and it will probably be under subscribed because no one will find the website.

Thanks for the tip mate. Only about 1 hr away from me. Without a 400 at the moment, but still like to watch track days.

Well, I have just come back from Blyton and I would not want to be taking a motorbike on there for a trackday.

Narrow, poor runoff quality - lots of it, but if you run on or wide you are going down into ruts, holes and gravelly shit, or into a field and mud.

It would suit a supermoto or moped racing...not suitable for fast bikes.

We'll have to disagree on that. I have ridden a bike there and loved it. Presumably you dont like Cadwell either.
I love it there too.
