Honda RVF NC35 cont....
Hi guys, Im back and greetings to everyone with previous post refer from here :
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=33233
I managed to sell off the rather problematic bike and got a new NC35.
Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their input and advise. Thank you for taking your time out to assist me.
Secondly, I have a rather new problem arising from this bike, which I think they are minor. But nevertheless I would like to hear some inputs from you guys if possible (:.
1) The fuel cock was at off position, and I rode for like 40-50km and the bike did not died. Does that means the fuel cock is faulty?
2) When I'm at 5.5rpm, I tried to open the throttle, but the bike seems to like lagged abit for a moment before the bike goes into like a surge. What does this mean?
3) I was given Pirelli ANGEL tyre. What do you guys make of this tyre brand and made?
Once again, all help would be much appreciated by me....

HUH CONROD AGAIN?? OMG? 0.0. But I dont hear any tok tok tok sound. Its like I open throttle, but there's like no power going into it, like going constant, like struggle to output the power that kind, then wait for a sec or 2 before the power comes in.... hmmm?

Might be a bad flatspot. What carb set up is the bike running?

As you have a fuel tap that has a flow control problem might be best to fix that first and then see how the bike runs. If you still have a problem at 5500 rpm maybe there is an issue with the speed sensor that is causing the rpm limiter to kick in.

Pirelli Angel = Shite.
No feedback from them, they loose traction and can slide about a bit. On the [plus, you will get good tyre life from it, but prepare to be bored with them.

Concrete Jungle - Ahh yes it sounds like a flat spot too. But I have no idea what carb setting its running. Can you tell me more about this? I'm seeing my mech on sat though.
magg - Yup, sounds like I have to do something about the fuel tap to begin with. Will be seeing the mech on sat.

what tyre size should NC35 be using?
im using front - 17" 120/60
back - 17" 160/60.
And i just realized my CDI is leaking. Used some bubble wrap to secure it.
And also, while riding and when i clutch in and let the bike roll, your rpm suppose to drop to idling rpm which should be around 1.5 right? Mine, was at 2rpm and was constantly auto revving by itself and the rpm keeps going up by itself. wtf?!

Ah.. your revs are erratic.. sounds like an air-leak.. the carb rubbers are not secure or split and old.. this will cause all kinds of running issues, flat spots and revs not being stable.
Would be the first thing i'd look into..

hmmm, you know your backseat when you open up. on the left handside that rectangle shape sightly bigger than iphone size thingy? Ya that thing leaking. Its not water, but some yellowish substance. kinda rubberly stuff.
Oh i see, so that must be all the reason for everything. Will give carb a check (:
