A 4 into 4 exhaust system possible?

Post by xivlia »

Are theyre any 4-4 exhaust system available for the nc30? im only asking because id love the idea of having two underseat exhausts and 2 on left side or 1 on each side :P a bit like the NSR500, with the 2 underseat and two on the right side.. :P

if not, do you think itl be possible to custom make pipes for that arrangement?

Anything's possible with enough money and know-how...

that is sick! :D. i think in the near future i MAY, try and attempt something similar but with 4 silencers instead. 2 underseat and two on left. buy some stainless steel pipes. measure bend and weld. probably run the two under seaters right under the plastic undertray, so il make some sort of heat shield. although the cans will be carbon itself. so they wont get too hot imo.

You won't have space to fit under the undertray. You'll need a modified subframe to take underseat exhausts.

hmm i suppose. its just a matter of trial and error. i wont be starting anytime soon though. and im certainly not gonna start without making a 1:1 model of the whole system...that way i can find error and fix them at low costs.

Have you actually got the bike on the road yet? Surely that should be the priority?

Once that's done, pick up a scrap frame, subframe and scrap motor, stick them together on a bench and modify exhausts to your heart's content :peace:

the bike is on the road. and its working pretty fine without problems. but i dont see the point in buying a frame subframe and a motor... all that would cost more than my whole project. :P i am pretty sure i can get 2 stubby cans under the undertray.. it might come out the edge of the seat unit but itl still fit. i might do a 3 into 4 system first.. and then add teh 4th one at a later date... we'll see how it goes. il probably start this project near the winter time when the bike is off the road. so still a looong while to go :P

oh. i thought it would be cooler as the heat will be coming from each cylinder... and there will be 4 cans, and each of the cans will absorb the heat from each cylinder where as in a 4-1 system all 4 heat from the cylinder is absorbed by one can therefor making the can a lot hotter?. hmm i may be wrong. thats just the way i saw it in my head.
