You mean a 4JH or a 3HE ???
The 4JH has the stator in the cover but the wires are in a different place to the 3TJ
The 3HE is just a cover with the stator on the end of the crank They look like the 1WG covers.

I might have one for a 4JH but not sure - I've got a 4JH engine but not sure if it has a stator on it or not.

so thunderace is the cat engine
the same as the 4jh then cause if it is that would make the fazer engine upto 2003 a potential doner.
correct me if i'm wrong ,didn't the 98-2003 fazers get the cat engine.

The Cat engine is basically the 4JH tweaked a bit. The only differences are in fuelling & BHP (true RAM Air system on the Cat) and sprocket offset (front sprocket sits further out compared to the FZR, due to a slightly different gearbox) .

The Fazer engines are slightly different too the cams were revised slightly and it has false fins on the barrel / head. The stator should fit though.

One thing get the stator and the cover as one, the bolts are difficult to get out, and the soft machine screws are locktitghted in

I've got a clean spare cover and stator from a 4JH engine if you still need one
