changing spark plugs!
hiya everyone, sorry to sound like a fool but ive got a service kit with spark plugs oil and oil filter a few months ago yet haven't done the service because i cant get to the spark plugs!
ive taken the body panels off but haven't taken the fuel tank off because im having difficulty working out how this comes off. ive removed the 17 ml bolt and tried to take it off to get to the air box but it moves but something is stopping me from pulling it back further. do i have to remove the allen key bolts around where you put the fuel in.
Pictures would be a great help as i do have the workshop manual but having problems working it out!
thanks everyone!

Re: changing spark plugs!
Take off the rear panels and seat - it stops the tank coming out. ALso, there are hoses underneath, be ready to unplug them. and be sure that the fuel tap is turned off.

if the tap has had the vacuum tampered it will flow when still on "on" or "reserve" - so turn it off. Should be a couple of dribbles.
there are three hoses- on on top that you can see, two on the tap, a large fuel one and a smaller vacuum hose.
The tank locates under the front of the frame too - so pull it back and up.

Re: changing spark plugs!
you dont have to remove the rad completely.. you can loosen it off and push it slightly forward...
be prepared for a few grazed knuckles though :)

A bit of cardboard on the back of the top rad will help your skin!
Warning, do not overtighten the spark plugs, nor the sump plug & oil filter!!!
