Hi guys, i was cleaning my fzr today and while looking at the clocks i was wondering if the foam could be replaced with a shiney metal cover?

Ive seen them for other bikes but can find anyone who does them... If not im temped to get some made up in 1mm stainless laser cut out..

Cheers

One thing - if the sun hits it you might not be able to read the clocks :o

just a thought,
but is it there to soak up some of the vibrations, and stop the needle bouncy thing happening, and if so wouldn't a piece of metal make it worse ???

No it's just trim there are 3 plastic screws that hold it onto the clocks themselves

but why??
it's 1/4" foam and it's not exactly pretty
i cant imagine yamaha sticking it there purely for cosmetic purposes ;)
