Valve Check Cost!!!

Post by MarkT »

Local dealer just worked out the price = £360 + shims! Holy shit. My local pdq dyno centre said to take it for a long fast run down motorway, and when you turn off if there is valve trouble engine will cut out so feeling a bit better. Be glad when it warms up and can do it myself and hope no adjustment is required!!

Can anybody tell me what the clearances should be on a 1WG please!
Thanks
Mark

That sounds about right for price.

3TJ SP is cold - intake 0.11 to 0.20mm exhaust 0.21 to 0.30

Multiply mm by 1000 to get microns and divide by 25.4 to convert to thou.
(Or divide the figure in mm by 0.0254)

4.33 - 7.87 intake.
8.27 - 11.81 exhaust.
