Valve Check Cost!!!
Local dealer just worked out the price = £360 + shims! Holy shit. My local pdq dyno centre said to take it for a long fast run down motorway, and when you turn off if there is valve trouble engine will cut out so feeling a bit better. Be glad when it warms up and can do it myself and hope no adjustment is required!!
Can anybody tell me what the clearances should be on a 1WG please!
Thanks
Mark

Re: Valve Check Cost!!!
That sounds about right for price.
3TJ SP is cold - intake 0.11 to 0.20mm exhaust 0.21 to 0.30

Multiply mm by 1000 to get microns and divide by 25.4 to convert to thou.MarkT wrote:Thanks EC ! What's that in thou lol ? See my post about engine!
(Or divide the figure in mm by 0.0254)
4.33 - 7.87 intake.
8.27 - 11.81 exhaust.

Re: Valve Check Cost!!!
Or yuou could use a mm feeler gauge
Inlet 0.004 to 0.008 inch
Exhaust 0.008 to 0.012 inch

Inlet 0.004 to 0.008 inch
Exhaust 0.008 to 0.012 inch
