the bike will run fine without a reg rec as long as the battery is healthy.
It is more likely the battery is fecked or the plugs are dying...or even that the cold and damp has got into the electrics and it needs a look at the earths and some WD40 sprayed everywhere!

If you want to get rid, I'm after a decent engine.
I'd even consider a complete bike....... ;)

Honda picks it up tomorrow lunch time, hope they take care of my girlfriend... :( ...as for the human girlfriend, she's running fine at the moment, and she needs no aftermarket parts

Not bottomless!
I'd have the complete bike as a wet bike, but for less than you'll be wanting I fear!
Good luck,
Mike

can you explain what you mean by 'send it to honda' you make it sound like a zippo lighter where you could send them off if the hinge broke and they refurbed it all for free.

if you mean 'take it to a honda dealer' you might just be better off selling it cheaper to someone that wants it rather than paying though the nose at a dealers just to get it working.
