the bike will run fine without a reg rec as long as the battery is healthy.
It is more likely the battery is fecked or the plugs are dying...or even that the cold and damp has got into the electrics and it needs a look at the earths and some WD40 sprayed everywhere!

If you want to get rid, I'm after a decent engine.
I'd even consider a complete bike....... ;)

Honda picks it up tomorrow lunch time, hope they take care of my girlfriend... :( ...as for the human girlfriend, she's running fine at the moment, and she needs no aftermarket parts :grin: :whistle:

I'm not trying to 'get rid' but it has been for sale for a while lol...as what will be not just a complete bike, a working complete bike with a host of upgrades still in their boxes...so yea how big is your.....wallet 8-)

Yea, new tapered bearings arrived, goodridge brake lines on the way, 2 renthal sprockets 1 brand new both not on bike 14T and 15T, Renthal SRS 106link gold chain brand new in box, brand new bridgestone tyres were fitted not long ago by honda, MOT'd and Tax'd for about another 10months, new K&N filter not on(with new washer and oil drain screw), brand new right mirror, brand new double bubble screen on the way, original parts such as exhaust, brand new brake pads not on, brand new clutch lever not on, nice very loud exhaust(only just noticed it says no road use on it LOL thought it was a bit loud), engine only done 30k km's

....perhaps it should be your main bike not the donor bike ;)

can you explain what you mean by 'send it to honda' you make it sound like a zippo lighter where you could send them off if the hinge broke and they refurbed it all for free.

if you mean 'take it to a honda dealer' you might just be better off selling it cheaper to someone that wants it rather than paying though the nose at a dealers just to get it working.
