Decided that i want to get into trackdays next year but i dont want to throw the oki bike down on the track.

Was looking at building a zx7r but i have half a decent nc sat in the garage which i cant seem to shift so it seems logical to use that.
Also after stripping the rgv250 to sell i have lost confidence in buying a second hand bike , pretty much every bolt was only half tight and i'd like to know things are correct and torqued up as they should be .

Im tempted to take the maxton forks , nitron shock and micron system off the other nc that i have and replace them with cheaper bits.

Of the the top of my head i need,

Forks and shock
Nc35 wheels
Rearsets (race )
Subframe ( race )
Discs
Front fairing ( nc35 )
Carbs ( maybe go for ram air)
Hoses ( samco)
Front fairing bracket ( race )
Rads

ect ect

Sounds like it will be a well spec'd track bike, if its any good to you i have a mild steel subframe thats been made to take an RS250 seat unit? Your welcome to have it, just pay for the postage and its yours.

Also have a nc35 rear linkage , 600rr calipers and mc & some ebc prolites.

Nitride coated forks?

no there standard , tempted to get the outer coated black and inners nitrated and fit them to the oki , but for now they will stay like this.

Got a few bits for this starting to build up , what i want to know is how to get the power up abit with throwing loads of cash at the enigne , so far im thinking

Full micron system
Remove the quietening gears
Hrc spec carbs

Would going total loss help? not sure i fancy having to bump start it though.

I think 65 bhp is reachable without spending too much money, maybe a bit more. Strip out the genni and charging system but leave the starer wired up so you dont have to bump it, a good battery will last you all day.

Thats a good idea with the starter.

Maybe, theres not much else you can do without throwing money at it. Most of the racers seem to prefer the ram air setup but from my experience with it you really have to work it hard to make the most of it, mine liked to be at 8k or above all the time or it would bog down and you'd feel like you were going backwards, its not cheap either as youve got to get a fancy airbox and snorkle. HRC it.
