NC35 Exhaust on NC30

Hi peeps

Another question for those with wisdom.
My NC30 is fitted with the front pipes from an NC35 that end with the 3 stud/bolt fitting for a silencer.
At the moment it has a Fuel slip on silencer bodged on the end of it.
If i fit the silencer from an NC35 will this be just as good a match as the standard NC30 silencer?
I have no idea if the bike has been re-jetted at any point to accommodate an aftermarket exhaust/silence, so i'm assuming it still has the standard jet sizes fitted in the carbs.

i have been trying to find out if what you say is true, but i expect the only way to know for sure is to put the bike on a dyno.

It is said on that site that the nc35 silencer has different baffles, but then i guess it would have considering the whole fuelling set up of the nc35 is rather different to the nc30.s.

I have a standard rvf system (including muffler) on my nc30, it all bolts straight up.

Do you still have the standard jets fitted in your carbs, and have you noticed any difference performance wise with the nc35 can fitted?

It has rvf carbs. The carbs are jetted slightly richer than stock because I swap between the standard and a loud can.

Performance wise, the rvf standard system and can robs a lot of power! I just put it on to quieten down the bike.

Thats like me and my standard NC30 muffler.. the yamamoto is too loud, even with a baffle.

Cammo.. did you know the UK NC30 rear mufler is different part number to the JDM bike? Aparantly it flows more freely, which improves bhp on uk bikes.. would love to get hold of one to try.

No I didn't know that, that would explain the slight power increase that's stated.

The main reason I went to an rvf system was so that I could simply bolt on a quiet stock or loud can as needed.

In saying that though, I have a nice yamamoto tucked away in the shed which is just crying out to be put on. I was a bit shocked at the power loss when I went back to the standard rvf exhaust. I'll be putting this on the bike soon, and will use a 3-bolt flange so the standard rvf and a loud muffler can both be used.

Yep, I went through the UK parts book recently.. apart from the uk specific carbs having emulsion tubes, jets, needles and slides the only other difference is the rear exhaust :O want one :D

I put my Yamamoto system back on but even with the db killer in I find the noise too unsettling, it's a very deep resonance, perhapys the alloy yamamoto can?

On the hunt for another spotless standard system again.. (cheap! :D)
