Billet aluminium bottom yokes for 3TJ

Post by Kayla850 »

I'm gauging interest for a batch of 3TJ billet aluminium bottom yokes to replace the awful standard cast steel effort. It'll be aimed at race/track bikes but there's no reason why they couldn't be used on a road bike, loads of newer, heavier bikes use ally bottom yokes.

They'll be similar to BDK's yokes but less expensive- note I said 'less expensive' instead of 'cheaper'

Anyway, I'm after a bit of an idea for numbers rather than a definite yes or no, so, would there be interest?

Yup I'll have one

My forks get quite close to bottoming out on their road settings because I take a pillion.

Cool! I'm just trying to put a Solidworks model together.

Sounds pervy :peace:

Maybe a lighter steering stem - although I suspect that will be expensive

Yup would be interested in 2.

If you need any info let me know, got one on my race bike already.

Id go for 38mm depth, the 43mm bdk ones push the ramair scoop very close to the front mudguard.

If you are running standard soft forks you will also have to remember that there is a chance the yokes will touch the fork seals under heavy braking.

Oh and you hav a PM,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I meant dust seals, not fork seals, it is common to see the dust seal removed from the forks when running BDK yokes.
