NC 30 Race Setup/HRC Setup - Info/Guide?
Id like to make this thread so everyone with NC30 race setup/HRC setup knowledge can share to others (like me
) i dont know what it all requires to make a race bike properly and i am sure alot of other people also dont know how to make a race bike. i was hoping some of you racers would like to share on what components you have used and/or where to buy them etc. i.e jet sizes?, full systems, carbs, needles, cams, sprockets. it would be HUGE help to all us im sure!

Re: NC 30 Race Setup/HRC Setup - Info/Guide?
I am NOT a racer but what I have 'learnt' of years of 400GB is .....
Jet sizes etc depend heavily on carb set up/ exhaust/ motor condition. There is no 1 size jet for 1 set up.
A twin can system is preferred as it allows you to set the front and rear banks up independently.
Nc35 carbs with ram air and I was once told stock needles work well enough for this.
Stock cams limit lots of head scratching and potential problems.
Chain length and sprocket sizes depend on tracks, I've seen 14/45,14/42/43 and I think someone said stock works on some big tracks
Why do you want the info? Are you waiting a race bike for the road.

i only want the info, so i can compare the diffrences with the srock bike, and also if i had soe extra cash i could maybe use some of the setup on the road. surely a race bike is far more faster and perhaps even more efficient than stock.

Re: NC 30 Race Setup/HRC Setup - Info/Guide?
From what I've seen and read. There isn't really much of a difference between a stock and race bike. 'cept weight shedding and panel changes!xivlia wrote:i only want the info, so i can compare the diffrences with the srock bike, and also if i had soe extra cash i could maybe use some of the setup on the road. surely a race bike is far more faster and perhaps even more efficient than stock.
Unless they've had/purchased a motor with various internal mods.
E.g. Just saw a dyno graph of an NC30 with a twin stack system pull 65hp. No internal mods.
The RLR race engine's are just over 70 bhp with minimal exterior mods.
How much is it worth to you?
Plus race bike's are running Ram/air or even filterless setup's which you would definately not want to be running on your daily.

It details all of the components required to build a true HRC kit engine and all of the components that need changing.
It also includes jet and sprocket sizes too.

if its only for the road this is a list of wat you want:
new shock
new fork internals
full/half system (exaust)
rick o slide springs
and jets to suit
if you're building a race bike your budget will dictate your mods

if you check out the rick oliver artical (under vfr400 engine mods) it should answer your original question to.
